The global footprint of Islamic finance continues to expand and exciting new growth opportunities are emerging in key geographies. The UK Pavilion initiative is a key part of the World Comes to WIBC campaign, which will this year offer an even more dynamic platform to capture and explore new growth markets for Islamic banking and finance at the 16th Annual World Islamic Banking Conference (WIBC 2009) to be held in Bahrain on the 6th, 7th and 8th of December 2009.
UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), the official trade arm of the British government, will lead a high-powered delegation of decision-makers representing key banks and institutions in the UK who will come in full force again this year to showcase their capabilities at the 16th Anniversary WIBC. This is the 3rd year that WIBC will feature the UK Pavilion and each year it grows in size and prominence.

The UK Pavilion will be a dynamic and interactive space to meet the leaders who are currently forging the UK's role in Islamic banking.
New Strategies for New Economic Realities
The dialogues at the 16th Annual WIBC 2009 will be even more critical this year as decision-makers in the global Islamic banking industry look to strengthen their market position, seek renewed growth paths, revisit risk management imperatives, as well as explore high-potential new markets that continue to emerge.
